South 14th Street Community Garden

Built in ONE DAY with the help of 350 community members and businesses, South 14th Street Community Garden is site to over 50 raised garden beds, 27 fruit and nut trees, onsite water, and a combination tool shed with open air shelter.

The garden infuses thousands of pounds of fresh produce into our food pantry supply, enhancing the nutrition of those who normally rely on canned or nonperishable foods.

Thank you to the United Way Day of Caring and Comcast Cares Day 2015 for making our community garden a reality. Check out our drone video of that amazing day!

New to 2019, the City of Manitowoc graciously invested in our activities by placing an educational greenhouse onsite.

Become a Garden Advocate Volunteer

Garden Advocates are volunteers who help us grow food collectively for families and individuals in need, and for the greater community as a whole.  

We grow a wide variety of crops to ensure hungry families have access to fresh produce rarely found on pantry shelves. ​

Schedule a Garden-Based Learning Activity
Provide your classroom, community group, or youth group the opportunity to participate in such popular hands-on activities as caring for a garden, planting, harvesting, and more! Planting seeds and helping them to grow is a great physical, mental, social, and emotional activity.

Each lesson/activity/tour is 1-hour in length. Fee is $3/Person ($30 minimum). CLICK HERE to arrange an activity.
